When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you, but because in that brief moment when the coin is in the air, you suddenly know what you are hoping for.

“The trouble is that once you see it, you can’t unsee it. And once you’ve seen it, keeping quiet, saying nothing, becomes as political an act as speaking out. There’s no innocence. Either way, you’re accountable.” — Arundhati Roy (via joannecostello)

stab at poetry

An uninspired haiku/verse i wrote (my first i might add) for a college event. just to remind myself to not try this again :)

A spark of hope, a shining beacon
born of vision, bred of heart
burns bright, a guiding light
we sail aided, in waters uncharted

No fear darkens, a brave new world
a distant port, beckons us forward
Be you the west wind, guiding ever closer
we sail undaunted, in waters uncharted
